PRECISION FARMING

This is the practice of managing inputs for specific locations within a field. Using Gobal Information Systems (GIS) and Global Positioning systems (GPS) can accomplish this. This practice is aimed at minimizing crop-input costs by concentrating inputs where they are needed most.

Instead of applying inputs on an average basis for an entire field, varied inputs are applied to specific areas of the field. Each area, usually a 2.5 acre section, receives exactly what is required.

Most of our fields are managed in this manner with the goal of maximizing profits per acre.
